Just though that we’d give you a quick run-down of the State Government eligibility requirements for businesses to receive the $10,000 Business Support Fund Grant for any business in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire or $5,000 for businesses in regional Victoria.
To be eligible, you must:
operate a business located in metropolitan Melbourne or Mitchell Shire,
be a participant in the Commonwealth Government’s JobKeeper Payment scheme,
be registered with WorkSafe on 30 June 2020 and able to provide a WorkCover employer number,
have an annual payroll of less than $3 million in 2019-20 on an ungrouped basis,
be registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST) as at 30 June 2020,
hold an Australian Business Number (ABN) and have held that ABN at 30 June 2020, and
be registered with the responsible Federal or State regulator. (For example, ASIC if a company or trust or if a sole trader then an ABN registration).
Applications close on 14 September 2020 so you have only a few days to prepare the form. Applicants must provide a document stating that their business is located in Melbourne or Mitchell Shire by providing evidence of their place of business such as a council or water rates notice, lease agreement or utility bill. They must also provide their most recent JobKeeper form.
